Background research rights of passage 1

From this clip the audience can learn that its about the journey through life of the characters as a group two boys and a girl. The main aspect comes from 'experiencing everthing for the first time'. This is also a right of passage.

Here the right of passage could be: sex, childhood to adulthood, pregnancy, new relationships and new experiences abroad.

An isigiht into a young boy's life sows the obstacles and challenges he must over come. The clip shows the intrapment of gang life in contrast to having a normal life. This can be represented by the medium close up shot as he is trapped imbetween the gang and the police officers, a smart way of showing the descion young boys must choose in brazil.

The right of passage here may be that as youths grow older they must make a choice to resort to following a gang/bad company or looking foward into the future with a positive background.

The moral of the story is about a rebellious school boy who wants to take control of his life by calling the shots himself, he fakes to be ill in order to miss a day off shcool. The clip comes across as being quiet humerous and comical as he speaks to the audience.

The right of passage may be that everyone goes through a stage where they have a choice to abide by the rules or take short cuts through this particular stage in life.

The film is about a young character and a old character who both rely on each other to get where they need to be, The older chacter teaches the younger character the ins and outs of magic which he loves and wishes to persue, in this case right of passage may be that the old man needs to be reliant on other people as his age forces him to be more dependent on others.

An x-prison convict is discharged at old age after serving nearly his whole life behind bars comes to an end. After coming out of jail he was iscolated in the new world, mainly because all he knows is the prison life and nothing more. sound plays a huge part in this case because he speaks about how so much has changed since he last walked on the streets-which leads him to speak about the changes in the world. This clip exemplifies how his actions mirror the motives of the film.

Here his right of passage may be death.(something everyone must undergo during their lifes)

The characters start out as young teenagers which deccide to travel the world and along their way the pick up one more person. A right of passage could be represented by their journey though driving is a step out of childhood to adulthood.

The themes could be an escape from their own reality to see the world and their first experiences of trying something new, which seems to be an emotional development.

Everyone must undergo a stage in life of trying new things,a clear right of passage.
